Layout of the week 11/13/2007
Hi Everyone!
The Layout I picked this week comes from someone who is filling up my Favorites Folder. I love her eye for design, the Simplicity of her pages and the way she showcases her pictures. Her Username is VShalini Pearce and here is *my* Layout of the week. O wow! Just found this now! This is awesome I'd love to answer the questions! First I must give my 10 month old her bottle, then I'll sit down and answer them properly later on today . . . trying to master the art of time management! thought I had it before the second baby turned up now I have to start all over again!

Answers to The Questions
Back again! Here's my answers, hope you all enjoy reading it. Thanks again for recognising my work, its a pleasure to share with you all.
How long have you been digital scrapbooking? In 2005 I created a Hybrid scrapbook as gift for someone but I only recently started getting more into digital scrapbooking because of how fast you can put a page together and the list of albums I needed to complete were quickly rising. So after I came back from a recent trip this year, I purchased Photo Shop and went to work! What size do you scrapbook the most? 12” - 12” What do you think your scrapping style is? I don’t like to put myself in a box, but definitely clean and simple! In saying that I still adore the vintage and shabby look and will somehow add this touch to a lot of what I create, there’s something so attractive about this imperfect look, I cant quite put into words why I am so drawn to it. What motivated you to begin scrapbooking in the first place? Well at the age of 23 and in my last trimester of being pregnant with my first, I had to have a creative outlet, first it was card making, then it was altering a kids book into my book of highlights (lots of fun). Then after Noah was born I started my first ever scrapbook and its taken me 2 and a half years to finish! Only because I have been putting my art/painting first. But I realised I needed to capture all those precious little things about my kids growing up and my relationship with Huby Justin , scrapbooking had to become more of a focus. How has your style changed from when you first began scrapping? My style has developed a lot, I have a more simplistic approach to things now, I think my pages are a lot more balanced and I love using negative space more, As well as playing around with the size of photos on layouts. Three all-time favourite designers? These 3 designers have had an impact on the way I design my pages. Cathy Zielske - loved her clean and simple books and graphic style Lisa Brown Cavney - Inspired by her approach to scrapbooking with limited supplies Ali Edwards - I love her formula for designing great pages Three all time fave Designer Digitals products,links please. I actually don’t have one! When I was a little girl it was pink, when I was a teenager it was purple, before I got married it was greens and browns. Now I love all colours! Do you listen to music when you scrap? I don’t listen to music when I scrap, maybe I’ll try it. What is your favorite snacks while scrapping? I don’t eat while I scrap, I get too excited with the creative process I’m scared I might choke . . . That was a joke! Who is your 3 digital scrapping buddy? Well my art work is definitely not clean, its more distressed and abstract, I will be doing a layout soon about me as an artist, you might see it in a couple of months so keep an eye out! Thanks for the comments everyone, its really encouraging. HUGS TO YOU ALL!
