BHG is lifting Cassie and Caroline!

I remember when they did this a couple years ago and it was so fun! They picked several layouts and ask people to lift them for a book. Way to go Cassie and Carolyn!

Layout #8: Happy 23 by Caroline Ikeji
A numbered background like the one in this design is perfect for birthday layouts. The number
theme continues in the small border pieces around the pictures. Caroline played with the focus on
her camera in order to get the two shots in the design. She left the aperture open in the left one in
order to focus on the candle and ice cream instead of her friend. The dots along the right-hand
side were a quick fix for a stamp gone badÑthey were made with paint and a cotton swab.

Layout #12: Man Power by Cassie Jones
Cassie used the Custom Shape tool in her image-editing software to create the circles around her
son and husband in the photo. She repeated the circle theme at the top and in the corner,
generating a sense of unity. The color scheme in this digital design is very masculine, perfect for
the point Cassie is trying to convey.

Layout #21: Stop by Caroline Ikeji
Caroline used this page to celebrate her love of photography and how being behind the camera
makes her see the world. She cropped 24 photos into 1" squares and used two layered
transparencies to mat them. She kept her embellishments to solid colors and switched off
between rub-on letters and a handwritten note in her journaling.

LOL . . . this is so much FUN! When BHG requested the layout, I had no idea what it was for. I just said "YES!"

Of course, this is just the COOLEST thing ever . . . to have other people lift something by little ol' me. I can't wait to see this issue!
