He is no harder to live with than before but then again, I am used to his fun play with things like this. He is the one who still can't believe it, I can The fact that I know the boy has some artistic talents but doesn't do anything with them... a touch of frustrating but so exciting to see when I do get him to tap into them. I can't wait to hear what his mother has to say... she is where he gets his artistic abilities from and has tried for years for him to embrace them more.

Heather, this is the perfect moment to say that I cannot wait to meet you and Mike in San An. And should we be worried that he will be on our walk, too? I mean that is one fine photo!! And your presents....are you gonna sell them? I love it. The one you/he used in these shots is great. Congrats to the Man!

As for the walk, he says he will come along - as long as you gals don't mind. If you mind, he can sleep in or find other things to do. Being as I am not always the steadiest on my feet, he is nice enough to often tag along with me and act as steadier when needed. My human walkingstick As for my presets, they are built for a software package that most of you don't use (not sure anyone else uses) - PhotoTools 2 by onOne software. I opted to go that route instead of Lightroom when I was trying to decide which I wanted to get first. If anyone does use it, I would be happy to share them with you. onOne has an exchange site for free user built presets so I could just add it there. As for selling, I don't do that... that would be work and this is my hobby I will be so happy when the feature articles on the kitties is done and I can go back to focusing on photographing for scrapping and not trying to shoot photos for someone else's ideal shots for the feature but it will be so cool to see them featured... alas, must stop procrastinating & get them done... then scrap, scrap, scrap!! pack, pack, pack! SA! SA! SA! |

Heather, I almost missed this. How cool for both of you! Love that you got a shot of the winning shot being taken! That will make for a wonderful page! (Bet you already have...I haven't been to the gallery yet!)

No page yet Kathie but one will be coming... been setting up my laptop for the crop and trying to get the house out of post-reno shambles before heading to SA as we have a friend looking after the kitties for us so haven't done much scrapping lately.
Again, thank you ladies. I can't tell you how much all your congrats have meant to Mike. He still doesn't believe it and doesn't have a large number of friends so all your congrats are flabbergasting him at you taking the time to say it & how many of you have said it. |

Congratulations to Mike! I loved seeing your photo of Mike taking the winning photo!
This is a perfect opportunity to say that I am totally bummed that I will not be in San Antonio with all of you! When I mentioned a few weeks ago that I might be interested in going, DH remarked, "Scrapbooking, you're kidding, right?" I said, no. i. am. not. kidding. that. is. why. they. invented. airline. miles. But DH's birthday is this Saturday, and he is getting home late Friday night from a long and stressful business trip, so we decided to try to get away together for the weekend. We had hoped to go to Banff for a week-- we've been talking about that since before we were married! But DH learned that his work schedule will absolutely not allow any vacation time this month. SO...... I felt I would be a real skunk to head to San Antonio just when he would be arriving home the night before his birthday. I will be thinking of you all... how about an online chat Friday night for all of us who cannot make the trip? Or a video conference? Is that possible? I do hope you all have a marvelous time, and I am looking forward to seeing many photos!!!
