Smile A bit of a toot for me

I was pretty excited this morning to see one of my photos on today's Flickr Blog. It's one of my favorite pics and there is a lot of meaning behind it (we were held up in the middle of the Sahara, left with slashed tires and no money or water ). But I made it through, mentally and physically and this image always serves as a reminder to me to prioritize life's challenges!
I hope it's OK to link to the blog.
Flickr Blog

Mine is the one on top of the "Portraits of Praxis" entry.
By the way, does anyone know what "praxis" means?

Wow. What a great shot! (and what a memory...) Congratulations on Flickr and also for the wisdom to have gained that lesson on the Sahara trip.

Praxis means practice, as opposed to theory. It's also the name of the test teachers have to take to get their certification.

What an amazing amazing photo AND intriguing story behind! What in the WORLD were you doing in the Sahara?

Oh and by the way, that photo looks like something out of National Geographics. Awesome! And congrats!

Wow! That is impressive! To be noticed by the Flickr people when there are so many pictures uploaded daily to that site is phenomenal! Was your subj one of the bad guys or from a part of that trip?

National Geographic here she comes!! "A little bit of a toot" is way too modest! A big blast of the horn is more like it! The colors in this photo are so exotic and rich! Well done Kerry!

LOL! You guys are great. Thanks!!!
Maureen, thank you for the definition of praxis. I googled it and it came up with a bunch of businesses. Then I looked it up in my computer's dictionary and it wasn't listed at all!
It's a good word for the day
