    Extreme Home Makeover!

They just announced that a family in Southern WI is getting an Extreme Home Makeover! They will announce the family on July 24 and construction starts on the 26th.

They are looking for volunteers to help with all kinds of jobs. I think I might apply! has anyone here volunteered for this or know someone who did?

  2. I have never done this, but I would in a HEARTBEAT! That is so cool, Dana! I hope you get to help out. It's such an amazing process!

my sister's best friend just did that last month here in maryland with her daughter that's developmentally delayed. She said it was the experience of a lifetime. She helped paint a mural and her daughter helped serve lunches and snacks to the workers! Go for it Dana--I'm sure it's a great experience!

Talk about a chance of a lifetime! You'd get an opportunity to change the lives of a family plus you may get to meet Ty Pennington!!

  9. What an amazing opportunity....go for it!! I hear that they will try and recruit local photographers to help document the process, how fun would that be!!

  11. Oh how cool! Keep us updated if you decide to volunteer!

  12. What a coincidence Dana! Right now they are working on a house here in Cincinnati. My husband is a nursery manager so I signed him up for landscaping. Unfortunately he was not chosen. My dd's absolutely adore the show. We plan on going tomorrow morning to view the process. I plan on taking my camera so be prepared for photos.
I'd say if you plan on volunteering do it soon, the positions will fill up quickly. This would be an incredible experience and a most memorable one. Go for it!
