I have visions of Kelly climbing up a tree, teeter tottering on a branch, to peer into the nest with her zoom, it's quite the video playing in my head. ;-)

HA! Carol, it's more like this: Kelly opens the front door, Hermes peers out and scares mama bird into the tree in the yard. Kelly steps up onto the chair on the porch so that she can look into the hanging fern where the nest is (all the while trying to convince mama bird that she means no harm and gets flustered that her camera won't focus on it's own while she holds back the fern leaves for a better photo.) ;O)

What do you do with the bird nest after they leave it. Will they use it again this summer or do you tear it down?

From what I've read, finches can use the same nest, but I'm thinking that I really don't want to go through this again. lol
Last year this pair (I'm only assuming it was the same pair) had 5 babies, but they never came back.
