Where I live and why I'm always talking about the weather

If you follow my blog you will notice that since we moved to the capital city, Wellington, a year ago I have been talking a lot more about the weather. I try not to but it's hard to ignore it!

So I laughed as I watched this the other night. It has the guys I "work with" (ie the politicians) AND a few minutes in there is a shot taken overlooking the city airport on a sunny day showing the fog rolling in. That was taken from our suburb, and in fact where we stand to get the bus downtown. The daughters and I stood there that morning and watched the fog and it was quite bizarre to see it coming in so "thick and fast"

Cool shot of the fog rolling in -- unless you're an airline passenger. And that is some wind, Lynn!

I flew in and out of Wellington many many years ago and I know it was nicknamed for Windy Wellington but thank goodness it wasn't like that.

I think I'd actually die if I was on one of those planes trying to land! I thought the Cape Town South Easter was bad!
