Thread: Analyze this!

Hybrid View

    Analyze this!

Here's an assignment for you: Look at the last 20 or so pages in your gallery, and tell us 3 things you notice about them.

    I'll start:

    1. I like color.
    2. I usually have more than one picture on a page.
    3. Family is the subject I scrap about most often.

    Okay, your turn!
    Linda

    My gear: Nikon D700; 24-70mm 2.8; 70-200mm 2.8; 105mm 2.8; 50mm 1.4; 150-500mm 5-6.3
My software: Photoshop CC on a PC; Lightroom 5.2; ACDSee 17

    Ok, me next.

    1. Family is my favorite subject above all else.
    2. I'm half and half with single photo vs several per page.
    3. I'm a minimalist with embellishments. I just can't get the hang of 'layering' items like so many of you do so very well.

    Next up?

  3. LOL! I'm Schizophrenic!
    1) Family (and recipe book!)
    2) I like doing posters just as much as scrapbook pages.
    3) Graphic all the way (unless I'm doing a blending page!)

  4. #4
    Such a fun idea!

    1. I love pink!
    2. I'm in a layering mood, but love blending and artsy too. Doubt I'll ever have 'a style', too indecisive!
    3. I do one photo pages almost exclusively.

My software: PSE 12 for Mac, run on my Macbook Pro!, yay!
My camera: Canon EOS 600D or still my trusty IXUS 950IS ( though it clunks a lot opening its shutter), or more likely my iPhone 4S

  5. Here goes for me!

    1. I am evidently in a frenzy all about finishing started books . . . no matter how old!!!

    2. My pages are mainly all about family and journaling.

    3. I love white space and am terrible with layering.

    1. I love artsy pages and journaling pages without photos.

    2. I will photograph almost anything.

    3. I am a brush fanatic!

Linda how fun! According to my last 20 pages:

    1. I like white backgrounds
    2. I have no people around to take pictures of
    3. It must be winter

And Linda, have you ever considered a profession in book naming? Your titles for posts are always soooooo creative. :O)

Funny to look at it this way!

    1. I am motivated to scrap by the DD challenges.
    2. If I use only one photo on a page, which is rare, I like to use it as a background.
    3. I like journaling.

  12. #12
    1. I spend too much money on travel
    2. I spend too much money on my soft furnishing addiction (and painting the house white)
    3. I love either a worn, pretty vintage look or a clean multi-photo look!

    ;-)

  13. #13
    1. Lots of colour lately. I like colour and try to mix it up.
    2. I have been a little heavy with the embellishing.
    3. I seem to have a thing for paint splatters and flair!

    This is such fun!

    Here's my analysis:
    1. I either use lots of photos or one great big photo.
    2. I usually scrap either my family or travel.
    3. I am desperately trying to catch up on all my unfinsihed projects.
And I have a Number 4: I gave up on Project Life after one week---again!

  16. Great idea, Linda!
    1. 19/20 of my last pages have had a patterned paper background (can't post a recipe page and break the streak, LOL)
    2. Most of my pages have a single photo, but 6 of my pages were photoless.
    3. Like Liz, I am motivated by DD challenges!
    Susan

  17. Linda, this is a most interesting thread!

    1. I love templates

    2. 90% of my layouts include multiple photos of family (especially grandsons!)

    3. The other 10% include photos of birds

  18. Love this thread Linda.

#1: I have been mojo-less for a long time since my 20 latest posts include some done in September!
#2: I have no specific style - I tend to do what feels good at the time
#3: I'm all over the board with this one too! I don't normally do multi-photo pages but this group includes 6 multi-photo ones, 10 single photo ones (including the two where I enlarged and blended the same photo for the background), and 4 with no photos.

Great thread Linda! It's so fun to see how we all see our pages and styles!

    1. I struggle to leave borders of my layouts empty... be it an overlay, doily edger, brush, you name it, I have to find something to go on that edge!
    2. My pages are mainly of my family and sometimes stories that the kids have told me or I've read about on Facebook while I actually haven't been there.
    3. I favour soft colours as I don't go for brights much... until Katie's new Catching Rainbows collection which I can't seem to put down!

    Such a good idea, Linda!

    1. I do very few pages and post even fewer.
    2. The majority of my pages have only one photo.
    3. Most of my pages are created in response to a challenge or a class that I'm taking.

    This was fun, Linda!

    1. Either I'm very lazy, or I just can't scrap without a template...
    2. I'm definitely embellishment-challenged!!!
    3. One photo pages? Never heard of such a thing... That's not a page - it's a Christmas Card!
