    Re colouring elements

Im taking my inspiration for this years Project Life from and couple of KimR+ pages (hope thats ok, i just fell in love with the colours) Bought a couple of the alphas today - Katies Basic Paper Alphabet in orange is the one I've started with, I'm just wondering the best way to re colour it so it looks similar to Kim's. Heres her page Because on this alpha the line around the inside of it is a darker orange, when I use the brush and overlay it, its darker, not lighter like in Kim's pages. Hopefully this is ok to ask and made some sort of sense hehe.

Thanks guys and Happy New Year

    Hi There!
Maybe it was a different alpha that she used to recolor. Thinking because the teal has a lighter outline maybe recoloring that one will get the effect you're wanting. Hopefully Kim will be able to hop on here and guide you with what she did!
    Hope that helps!

    That is a bit tough.
You can use Replace Color (Image -> Adjustments -> Replace Color). Use the eye-dropper to select the darker color and increase the brightness. You might find it creates jagged edges.
Cassie has some tutorials on recoloring that might help

ETA: I think it would be easier to do like Katie said and buy another alpha with a lighter border!

Thanks guys, I was looking through some of the other products she used and I'm thinking it might be a clipping mask using Katie's Summer Gardens Solids Paper Pack. I shall keep messing around with it all
