Oh my I love the nifty fifty!

Having got the Canon 5D Mark2 from my dear papa, the only lens I had to use on it was my trusty Canon 85mm f/1.8. A lovely lens. A super lens. BUT I did start to find it was a bit too long for indoors and close focussing. Enter the Canon 50mm f/1.4. Oh boy! I'm in love! It's super sharp. Super dreamy. The colours are glorious. O.k, so I have to zoom in more using my feet but it is soooo worth it. I have a feeling this little beauty is going to spend a good long while up front!

Yup, the 50mm is great for everyday photos. Love how it gives me a little extra room on the 5D than on my 40D body. It's a little short for portraits now, though. I loved it for portraits on the 40D, it's like a 70mm there. I'm going to my 100mm for close up portraits on the 5D body :-)
