I am so excited for you!!! Have fun at the zoo!!! You'll have to name your new boyfriend. I still want to name my camera. And she is a girl. I am totally outnumbered by boys in this house.

How very exciting Jen!! Those uncharged batteries are like some sort of malicious torture. Like your mother giving you a new toy and saying you can't play with it until after dinner!

I just figured you were "stocking" up on camera gear

Grabbed a few shots in my dark family room so I could crank up the ISO. I shot these at 12800. There is noise in the dark background but not enough to make the image unusable. Simply amazing!

Kim next time you are in Denver you should put the zoo on the list. They are about to open the Asian Tropics exhibit that will have an Elephant breeding program. Our zoo is about to double in size They are letting the public in to the exhibit in June. We are members so we can get a sneak peak in May. My favorite animal is the elephant so I am thrilled that our program is going to grow past the two females we have had since I was a kid

Congrats Jen! You lucky girl! Those shots are amazing!! Did you already have a full frame camera before so that you can use the lenses from your other camera? That's what holds me back from getting a full frame is that my lenses won't work with it.

Nope this is my first full frame. I knew that I wanted to upgrade eventually so I only purchased lens that would work on both my cropped sensor and full frame. I still have my 50D as a back up.
