I am wondering how to change the "standard" elements in my layer styles. For example, I use drop shadows. However, when I add them the automatic width is 21 pixel- so I have to go back in and change them to one or two pixels instead, which can get rather cumbersome when you have lots of layers
. Is there a way to change the layer style so that it automatically comes up as say... two pixels (instead of 21)?

I'm totally NOT an expert, but I don't think you can change the default setting on that. I beleive you have to change it manually every single time... it's a HUGE pain, I know. But I'm so interested to see if someone has a better way!! So experts... please sign in here!!
