Default From PC to Mac

I am debating switching from a pc to a mac. Will I have to get Photoshop in mac platform or will I be able to convert my current pc version? Also, I have all my digital stash in an external hard drive. With my mac, will it be just simply plugging in the external hard drive to my mac to access my loot?

Hi!
Unfortunately, you'll have to get the Mac version of PS. Some people have had good luck contacting Adobe and asking for the other platform free of charge. Hopefully, that is the case.

Luckily, you WILL be able to access your digital stash on your hard drive just like you did on PC

I just changed to a mac from a pc and I LOVE it so far. And Adobe just had photoshop elements 8 on sale for 49.99 or 59.99 I can't remember. But I bought it about a month ago for 99.99 so that's quite the bargin.

I did the switch in july, initially frustrating, but now fine. I was very used to my digital organization with the organizer in PSE6 for the PC, the Mac version uses Bridge - which I do not find as easy to use. I put my photos in bridge and use iphoto for certain special projects. I did a lot of opening into camera raw from the oranizer, not so easy with a mac. I had to switch my entire digi stash organization to picasa from ACDSee, big learning curve, but finally all is well.
