Default Dragging a photo

I've been using Elements for 2 years and never had this happen.

I opened a photo (a jpg) edited it, saved it, then dragged it onto my canvas. When it hits the canvas it turns gray scale.

Where did my color go? Help! and thanks!

It's happening when I drag anything to my canvas. Everything is turning B&W. I've rebooted my computer. Any ideas of what's going on?

This happens to me frequently. The color space got changed to grayscale somehow. I usually hit it with the side of my hand, or do something kooky.

You're going to have to create a new document. In the New dialog box, make sure your Color Mode box has been selected to say RGB Color, not Grayscale.

As far as I know, once you've created a new document in grayscale, you can't change it back to color.

Hope this helps!

Is your canvas a b&w image? Just check the setting when you create your new 3600x3600 blank canvas.
Other than that, I'm not sure!
