Default How to crop something distracting out of a picture?

I am completely confused. I know I'm not great with Elements, even though it's the only thing I've used, but I'm kind of at my end here. I'm hoping someone can help. I am trying to crop a really annoying Handy Manny off of my son's shirt in a photo. I have NO idea how to do this? Any suggestions? I'm using PSE 6 for Mac.

Here's the picture:

It's the icon on the top of the shirt!

Thanks SO much!

You should have a clone stamp which you can specify where you want to clone from and then click over top of what you want to clone out (the logo).

Was looking to see if Cassie had a tutorial on cloning but I don't see one ... hint, hint, Cassie

With cloning, resampling (think it is alt click with the clone tool) often and doing it small piece by piece tends to yield most seemless cloning.

Like Heather said, the clone tool should work great for removing the logo you don't want. Experiment on a duplicate copy of your photo while you learn.

Use the help feature of PSE to get directions on how to use the clone tool.

Best of luck. Hope it works slick for you!

Hi, Tara . . . I think this tutorial might help you. Even though it's about restoring old photos, it uses the tools in PS/PSE that you would use to fix your picture. I address settings and how to use the tools.
