Question Problem using Annas Sparkle Brushes

OK I'm feeling like a bit of a ninny but I cant get some brushes to work.

They are Anna's Magical Sparkle Korners N Edges No1 & No2, Magical Sparkles, and Magic Sparkles No3.

I have tried using the png's and the brushes, and all I get is black shapes, not sparklies.

I'm using windows xp and pse5.
Do I have to change some settings or something? - I can't find any instructions with my downloads.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong please?
Thank you

Have you set your foreground to white when using it as a brush?

If you use the png, once it's on your page, type Cmd/Ctrl-I to invert it from black to white.

I'm having a problem using brushes, too...but mine won't let me choose the color of the image it stamps. i know i've been able to choose a color before and got the brushes to work fine, but now i can't remember what i did! they only come out gray, black, or white and if i try to choose from the texture drop down, i don't have a plain texture (i.e. untextured)! (i fooled around with this trying to find out how to get them in colors...) can anyone help me as well? thanks!

You just need to click the foreground icon in the Tools palette. That will bring up the color picker. Select a color in the box, or move onto the layout to use the resulting "eye dropper" icon to pick a color off your page.

The foreground/background icons are the black/white overlapping squares at the bottom of the Tools palette on the left side of your workspace.

HTH!

Thank you Cassie ... that was the very simple answer - change the brushes to white ... duh! Sometimes the obvious is a bit hard to find!
