Default Change line spacing in Photoshop

Guess Photoshop isn't the best word processing program , but still - is it possible to change the line spacing? I have looked everywhere (except in Help ), but I can't figure this out.

Arrow

Photoshop has actually come a long way in type control!

Window > Character

OR

Window > Paragraph

You can either change your line spacing by adjusting leading
[character window]
OR
You can add space before or after a paragraph
[paragraph window]

HTH!

Thank you so much for this tip that had been bothering me too! I'm off to give it a try! (I wonder if this will work in PSE too....hmmm)

OK! This technique works wonderfully in Photoshop! Thank you! Thank you! But PSE 4.0 doesn't have this capability--just in case anyone wondered!

Lynnie, in PSE you want to look to your menu bar at the top of the screen. To the right of the three little icons with lines (the icons for left, right, center) you'll see an icon that looks like two upper case letter A's with an arrow. That's your leading adjustment. For example purposes if you are working with 20 point text and want more space between the lines enter 30, 36, etc....a bigger number. If you want to smush them together more enter 18,14, etc....a smaller number.

Is that what you are looking for or am I misunderstanding this completely? (Wouldn't be the first time I THOUGHT I knew what I was talking about and don't! )

My dear Pattie, I should have known you'd know how to do this! You know how to do everything! You all don't know how lucky I am to have Miss Photoshop's office right inside my classroom! When I retire I'll have to have a direct phone line to her installed! Thanks Pattie! You are awesome!
