text on path Q
I know how to do it, but when I use the pen tool, it blackens out the space between the vectors and I am not sure how to fix that! Here's what I mean:

looks like it's trying to make a new shape
go to windows > paths click the icon at the bottom of the palette to create a new path select the pen tool start drawing and it should just give you a path--not a shape! HTH!
