I love my ACDSee and have used it for years, but have recently upgraded to CD3 and Bridge. I am slowly beginning to accept Bridge into my heart but still have a few kinks to work out. My biggest one right now is that when I use ACDC and look at a grouping of folders I can get a quick preview of what is in the folders with out having to open it up. (wish I could attach a screen shot, I have tried attaching an attachement but can not see if it worked) With Bridge when I look at a grouping of folders all I see are generic yellow folders and I have open each one to get a look at what is inside.
Does this make sense?? If so does anyone know if Bridge can make it possible to show previews of what is in the folders like ACDSee. Any help would be appreciated Leigh-Ann |

Hi Heather, Thanks for responding. I went into view, and could not find "show items from Subfolders. There is show rejected files, show hidden files and show folders. I am working in CS3, so maybe this option only shows up in CS4??

I just opened my Bridge CS3 and it doesn't appear to be there for me either. I will keep seeing if I can figure a way to do it as I can't see there not being a way to do it just a longer way... I am just fighting a cold right now so off to nap & will look later.. head can't handle this right now, sorry.

Thanks Heather,
I have done a lot of searching and have not been able to find anything. If you could find a solution for me I would be forever grateful!! Hope you are feeling better soon Leigh-Ann |

I can suggest 2 things to try. If you want a preview image instead of the folder icon, open the image you want as the folder image, and copy it (open apple, C); then right click on the folder, go to get info, and when the window opens, click on the small blue folder at the top left and the paste the image onto it (open apple,V). This will make it look like an image, but is actually a folder. My preferred method for what you're trying to accomplish is through the use of stacks in Bridge (I think CS3 has stacks) Just highlight all the items you want in a group (like the preview & contents), then through the drop down menu or open apple, G; you can make a grouping. Then highlight the image you want as the cover of the stack and right click, scroll down to stack-then go to 'promote to top of stack'. Then you will view the image you selected as the top of the stack, and can click on the arrow in the upper left corner to open the stack. Hope this makes sense, I'm trying to type it by memory and may be missing a step or two.
