Default new file issue

Hi everyone. I am hoping someone a lot cleverer than me will be able to help my problem in CS4.

When I open a new photo and then another and then say a new page to start scrapping it goes into tabs along the top. I then have to drag the one away to allow me to see both on the screeen easy and drag layers from one to the other.

i wonder what changed as it never used to do this. It also started to close the page really small and fit exactly to the size whereas I used to like it say at 50% of the size then you can see grey around the page to get an idea of the balance of a page.

I wonder what settings I have clicked.

Any one ?????

I don't have CS open at the moment as I am on a different computer as I packed my regular mouse to take with me today but I will try to explain what I think you may have clicked.

Up at the top about the middle of my bars, I get a couple little icons that look like window panes. They are quick ways to change what screen orientation/windows you get. Try playing with the options in those to get back to the look you are used to having.

Good luck and sorry, I can't be more specific as it is kind of foggy atm but I know they are weird icons up there.
