Default Drop Shadow for Assorted Tapes

I'm currently working with Assorted Tapes, the scotch tape. I would like to place a drop shadow but I am having difficulty. I purchased Cassies LIAO #8, it has a special segment on custom drop shadows for transparency items. When I click on the thumbnail of the tape I get this window:
Warning: No pixels are more than 50% selected. The selection edges will not be visible.
I've looked closely at the tape and I can see the edges. There maybe a slight hint of shadow. Is there anything I can do or should I leave as is? Thanks!

I have been using Katie's drop shadow styles for these types of things as the layer styles will work but I can't get it to select to do a drop shadow like in Cassie's tutorials on these really transparent items.

I have those too Heather and I've tried a few of them. But I really have to bring the opacity down to get the color I like still within the tape itself. Maybe it will just have to due. Thanks Heather!

Kris, when I get that message I just continue. It still creates a shadow for me that works.

What? You can ignore the message? I guess I need to be more of a rebel. I'll stand up for myself next time.

LOL Kelly. It's like we're always having to seek permission because PS "talks" to us. When it warns us we listen! Sometimes we just need to break the law.

Hehe, ya. Guess we need to be a rebel like Cassie and here she tries to tell us she is a rule follower.. ha! and you can't even blame Kelly this time for taking you down that path.
