Default Copy/Paste Text

Ok, I am sure this is probably like the time I asked about how to open a new a link in a new tab....like ...uh, use the CMD key??!! ...Cassie, of course, was so much nicer about it!!

I want to copy text from ...say....an Evernote page or even a Word doc. ....and paste it on a layer in PS CS3. Can that be done? PS CS3 doesn't seem to be reading what is in the clipboard (or wherever whatever is cut is stored). It is in the clipboard because I can copy from Evernote to Word.

So maybe this is not so simple. Anyone know the answer?

Copy your text (Ctrl/Command C) from your other program, then in CS3, select the text tool and click to start your text string or text box. Then just paste (Ctrl/Command V) and it will pop into your text layer.

Seriously, Heather, I think they need to put you on staff. Thank you, suga. Just needed that one extra click into the line....had the layer set to Text just didn't know about that click....sort of like the cmd button, actually.

LOVE this place.
