My Cmd+Shift+S quit working...yikes!

I absolutely DEPEND on this quick key combi and about weeks ago it stopped working ... uhboy! Anyone else ever have this happen?

1. It still shows up as possible on the menu.
2. I can still DO a File>Save As IF I do it through the menu ... totally annoying, if you ask me.
3. If tried rebooting (obviously since it's been doing this for quite a while)
4. I tried running the Mac Disk Utility "Repair Permissions"
5. I'm stumped and hoping someone here might have had some experience with this before???
