Default Using brushes

I have PS CS4 (I am very new to PS). I was wondering if there would be any problem with having a separate folder on my computer (perhaps my desktop) that I would put my brushes and actions and then when I need them I could just load them from inside PS.

Is that okay?

Oh, I use a Mac.

Thanks for your help.

That's perfectly okay.

I use the same software on the same system.

To be honest, with CS4 it's very easy to load brushes. Just double click the abr file in the Finder, no matter where it's stored, and it will load the brushes for you automatically.

Thanks so much. I'm thinking that I might be able to keep track of things better. I guess we'll see.
