Default shooting black on black/studio lighting

What is your take on shooting a model dressed in black on black backdrop? I recently had a shoot and had a problem with that but was able to salvage with photoshop.

The room I'm shooting in is small (12X12) - I'd like to use what I have already which is 2 sb800's, and 2 umbrellas and I thought I'd order a large reflector today - this is what I have in mind regarding set up:

1 sb800 camera right shooting thru umbrella - 1 large reflector camera left - 1 speedlight behind the model to utilize as a rim light, does that sound about right? - I'm very new to indoor studio work so any suggestions would be very much appreciated?

I love black on black for low-key, especially maternity. I tell all maternity and newborn clients at least one outfit in black. Honestly, for the look I'm going for, I just use one light, sometimes I'll use a reflector for a bit of fill. I just let the shadows fall where they will. I'm sure the "right" way might be to use a hair light to separate the subject from the background, but I guess I'll just call this my "style"... LOL
Here are some examples:

Oh, and I should mention, for the 2 similar maternities, I position the light so it is slightly behind them. My softbox is big enough that I raise it up to where the fall off begins right under their belly, and it almost acts like a hair light too
