Default Doest this mean..

Does this mean my camera is dead? My camera is doing this with alot of pictures lately, I couldnt find anything in the manual that would help me, and waiting on the phone with the company is like, (getting a root canal. ...you know... You have to get it done but going thru it ...is a pain)...I have hung up on them about three times...i hate waiting on the phone.

Here is a picture.

What kind of camera is it? Is there an option on the menu to go back to the default settings?

oh my I have never seen that before. and I agree with native scrapper - reset default settings. Go to your manual - maybe something like the WEIRD AND FUNKY button has been selected !

if you dont have the maula go online !

Oooh, too bad, Cheryl.

I hope it is something minor.

I have not seen that before. It looks either HORRIBLY overexposed, or else there might be something wrong with the sensor/camera. I checked your exif data on the picture, and it looks like you used shutter speed = 1/60 second, aperture = 3.2, flash was fired. I couldn't see the ISO data. To get overexposure at those values, you'd have to be using a super-powerful flash and have your ISO set to the max possible. And possibly have exposure compensation set pretty high, too. If you don't have exposure compensation and /or flash compensation on, and you are NOT using a high ISO, I think there might be something wrong with the camera. Especially if it does it after you reset all buttons.

Can you just check ISO and flash comp & see if those are at default? You may have to then take your camera to a repair shop, or get a new one.

good luck! let us know what happens!
Jennifer
