I love the academic discount! I bought LR first, then when I bought my Mac, I ordered the Standard Design Suite which included CS3, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat Professional for $400! And they are all the full-blown versions.
There's no other way I could ever have afforded all that w/o the academic discount. It just wouldn't have happened!

My days of having a student are over, however I have a son that teaches at the university level and he was so kind as to help his Mom out and purchase LR for me! Thinking of CS3...

I have it... it's the norml version- no watermarks or anything. It didn't take too long with the processing of proof.

I've heard great things about LR. I've been holding back 'till I can get my own computer for digi scrappin' and I can justify all the expenditures - right now I just digi scrao - but one day I'd like to design. I got PSCS2 on my academic discount. I should look into getting LR - go further with my photography & digi pursuits. And then maybe CS3?
