Wow, thank you so much for choosing my photo for POTW. Now to answer the questions...
1. What camera do you use? I use a Canon D60, which was cutting edge in 2002...I share this camera with my DH. I use the 50 mm 1.4 lens most of the time, however the POTW was taken with the EF 28-135mm lens. Also have a wide angle lens that I don't use much. 2. What first drew you to photography? My husband was always the photographer in the family, and a good one. When GC came along I was the one with them on everyday occasions and wanted really good photos of them. I wanted something more than just snapshots. 3. What type of photos do you enjoy taking most? Because I love architectural history, I love taking pictures of buildings and details of those buildings. But of course, the grandchildren are the hightest on my list! 4. What one tip has helped you improve your photography most? Take a lot of pictures! 5. What is on your photography wishlist? Lightroom-I love the opportunities for taking a really good photo and turning it into something fabulous. We are also looking at cameras. We will probably buy a new Canon because of the lens we have, but my husband thinks Nikon may be a little ahead of Canon at the moment and we will wait for Canon to catch up... 6. What photos do you enjoy scrapping most? The grandchildren are the most special in human terms, but I've had a lot of fun doing our vacation album where we visited the Hudson River Valley and it's treasure trove of architectural history. I just want to thank all you guys as well! I realized early on that to have a really wonderful layout you need three things: a great photo, good design and great journaling. This photography forum has helped me to be brave and venture out of my comfort zone! Now Debbie, about that journaling... __________________

Just a footnote here-many of the photos you see in layouts of my GC have been taken by their parents and posted online. Many of the photo editing tips posted in this forum and elsewhere at DD have come in handy. I don't think most people take photos with the same perspective one has when you want to show them off in a layout.
