Default Bluebonnets

It's bluebonnet season here in Texas! Just had to share that I'm going to try to get some photos today. It's overcast which means it will be easier since we won't have squinting or harsh shadows in the mid-afternoon. Anyway, I'm excited so I decided to share. Anything you take pictures of every year as a tradition where you live?

Well, I love the flowers and the autumn leaves at my house!
And, of course the stockings and Christmas tree
... the Thanksgiving table groaning with food
... children in their Easter finery
... too many to mention .... my photos are many!

It will be interesting to see what others take photos of as a tradition ... we may all get lots of ideas!
Fun thread Heidi. And, I can't wait to see your beautiful pages with the results of your bluebonnet photo shoot! I would love to visit Texas during bluebonnet season ... another "must go" place when Hubby retires!

Good for you Heidi! We have to drive a couple of hours to get a really good bluebonnet location, but it would be worth it. Can't wait to see your pics!

I traditionally take pictures of blurry things. I started it the minute I picked up a camera.

LOL Cassie!
I try to take my camera where other people dont..if you see what i mean! like on the school run, supermarket trip, to the hairdressers etc etc...just to capture what changes so fast in our day to day life with kids.
and of course the nightmare that is all four kids smiling and looking at the camera for the Christmas card!!!!

I'm so anxious to see what you get today, Heidi! I'm only seeing a few bluebonnets here, but I'm hoping for next week! Please post when you get done!

I have some samples on my blog Jodi! It was lots of fun! Payton thought she saw a bee and refused to have anything to do with being out there after only a couple photos so I didn't get any good ones of her in the flowers, but oh well!

Oh, I love that one of Avery that you have on your blog, Heidi! We've had a busy weekend here, but we're going to try and go out this afternoon after Cade's nap and see if we can find some.

We ventured out this afternoon on the hunt for bluebonnets, and it looks like we're a little early here for the good patches, so I'll have to wait a week or two for those perfect photos!

Out here in SoCal we get all kinds of random things blooming year-round due to all the imported plant life (read: it was once a desert!). Since my family tends to be homebodies, I get a lot of photos of us having barbeques in the backyard every summer - I look forward to the photos and the food!
