Default Editing Problem with a Photo

Has anyone ever tried splicing a photo? I am doing the Project 365 and I have a photo that is landscape. The person who took the picture (with my camera) didn't see that the two guys on the right are too far away and the photo is spread out left-to-right.

It doesn't fit in my picture spot, and I really can't change the size of the spot. If I fit the photo to the spot, the guy on the left and my hubby (all the way on the right) have half their faces cut off. Is there a way to cut between the guys with the gap and "move" them closer together?

PSE 10 has a feature for this that is pretty fun. Maybe you could download the trial version just for this purpose?

To use it, you go to Edit (Guided) > Recompose. I played around with it and it is pretty spiffy.

Cassie, thanks for the tip! I downloaded the trial and gave it a shot, but it didn't do what I needed it to do. I think they are too close together to make it all that effective. I made the command decision to crop the guy on the left out completely.

I tinkered with 10 for a while but am not convinced I should upgrade. I'll need to nose around in it a little more to see whether it's worth it.
