Default P&S camera....

HI All,
I'm going to Disney soon (I know the hottest time...) I am getting a new P & S camera (waterproof) to bring. I was wondering if any of you could share some suggestions... I was thinking of the Panasonic TS3 Lumix or the Olympus tough tg-610 any thoughts - i really don't want to lug my good camera 1. its going to be hot hot hot 2. I don't want to worry about 3. Water rides

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
Christina

I have an olympus (an older model) - it's been a good camera, not necessarily the greatest pictures (hmm, that could be the photographer's skills!), but love that it can go everywhere. Have spent time looking at the panasonic because it uses regular SD cards, my olympus uses xD cards which just means one more thing to carry around. Good luck - i know lots of others on here have looked at these, I believe Jen D bought the canon - maybe she has some feedback too?

I have an Olympus also.. got it about 2 years ago and it takes great photos and videos.. it does use those small xd cards though.. two things I would recommend, regardless of which one you get, are the bright yellow wristband that is a buoy in case it gets dropped in the water and a spare battery

I have an Olympus Stylus Tough-3000, 12 mp, 5 ft shockproof, 10 ft waterproof. I took it to the beach this year and it worked well in the ocean and the pool. It came with a buoy wrist band strap as well. Has a lot of neat features. Got mine at Staples during one of their many sales.

Christina ... It is all in getting used to the camera settings. I personally like it because it has a Program mode so you can manually change the settings but the auto & scene modes are also very good. I also like that it has a rechargable battery pack (no buying batteries). PM with an email address and I can send you a few sample pics if you would like to see some.
