Default Shopping therapy

I lashed out and bought a camera and couple of Canon lenses (see my signature). Nothing like a bit of shopping therapy I actually got it second-hand on eBay which is something I never thought I'd do but it is in mint condition with warranty left and it worked out just a bit over half of the price at our local camera shop.
What an amazing device the 7D is. The high ISO just blows my mind!

I hope you really enjoy those lenses. You're getting two for one in that deal: shopping therapy and photography therapy!

I am suddenly finding myself with a real "money tree" (just a small one, a crepe myrtle, say, instead of an oak) and I'm pondering a new camera system and a couple lenses.

How high can you go inside on the ISO without noticeable noise?

And by the way, congratulations! Sounds like just the thing to help you relax a little bit.

I haven't tested it extensively. My previous camera only went to 1600 and that was very noisy. The 7D goes to 6400 (and even 12800) which makes an incredible difference!
Here is a noise comparisons which will answer your question better than any half-baked response I can give.
Canon EOS 7D review: High ISO JPEG Noise results, Canon 7D vs 50D vs 5D Mark II vs Nikon D300s | Cameralabs
I can't wait for the girls' volleyball and basketball seasons to start again and I'll be there taking an insane number of photos!
BTW, have you seen this video?:Battle At F-Stop Ridge. I don't think I'll be quite that crazy
