Our best wishes go out to Nikon employees injured in the Quake in Northern japan. No fatalities or serious injuries. Sendai factory has been closed, production of D3s, D3x, D700 and F6 suspended.

Our wishes for a speedy recovery also go to the 12 Canon employees injured at the lens factory in Utsonomiya. Manufacture of lenses at that site have been suspended.

Uhoh. I sympathize. Completely. I bet they are making some of the new Nikons too.... the ones that have not yet been announced.

Not too secret, the Nikon D800 replacing the D700 and the D4 pro series. Both had been scheduled for this year releases.

So sad!!!! I was taking some photos on Saturday of the pretty snow that fell up north at the cabin... looked down at my Canon and thought of all those ppl! I am sure it will take a while to get back on their feet..
