Default Full moon tonight--help!

I've been trying to capture a non-murky full moon shot. I have a Canon 5D, 200mm lens. I took off all my filters, iso of 320, spot metered, f2.8, tripod and still all I have to show for it is a blurry moon with a huge halo. Any ideas other than leaving it to the pros?

Here's a thread about shooting a full moon:

In the link to her blog, Katrina gives some great tips. I got a pretty good shot last month using her instructions. Here's the page I did about it:

Happy shooting!

I remember your layout from last month too! I checked the newspaper weeks ago and marked the next full moon for this month because of it...LOL. I'll try again tonight...thanks so much for the links.

Tripod, tripod tripod and you don't need as wide open an app as you would think. Have fun, shoot lots!

Let us know how it goes
