Default Scott Kelby Photo Walk - Any Winners?

I'd love to know if anyone won their photo walk best shot! I begrudgingly admit that my hubby won the Fort Worth Photo Walk. I'm not bitter, grrr.

I'd love to see winning shots from your location, if you guys want to share! And I hope we have lots of winners!!

Our photowalk leader is a Canon shooter. Everyone at the photowallk shot Nikon EXCEPT 1 guy. The leader kept joking that day not to expect a Nikon shooter to win and guess what, the Canon shooter's pic was selected...

Here's the winning photo from my photowalk -- not the one I would have chosen:

Bummer. You HAVE to post the winning photo now!

As I understand it, each photowalk leader selects a winner from his photowalk. That shot is then submitted, and Scott Kelby (?) selects worldwide winners. You can see the winning shots for the last two years here:

Photo Contest Winners | Worldwide Photo Walk

I think I'm missing something because most of the winners don't knock my socks off.

Yeah, I agree. I've only seen one that I thought was spectacular, and it wasn't even on my walk. I sure hope that the oveall winner is way better than the peeks that I've seen!

Congrats to Ditz, Sarah! LOVE all the vibrant color and the way your eye is led to the back by blue tarps.

ON our walk our leader decided that we would all vote for the winner, so she let us know the photos that we all uploaded to the competition and we all voted first choice and second choice, so our winner was decided that way.

Me, too, Carol! Love the color, the textures and the angle of that photo ... just sorry it wasn't yours. Your group must have had a number of fabulous photos because I know every one of your shots was so interesting!! Must have been a tough decision.

I didn't do the Kelby walk this year, but I did lead one of the walks for Iheartfaces.com's walk across america earlier this summer. Selecting our one winner was THE HARDEST part of the walk. So many photos. So many options. It is not easy.

That being said, the photo Randy posted has a completely wonky horizon...wonder what it was that the judge saw in it. Hopefully more than the camera, because that makes no sense at all. If you take the best photo with a off brand point and shoot with a dead battery in the smallest jpeg format, its the photo that matters.

Wouldn't it be interesting to see how people would "fix" the award-winning photo?
