Default Another Question on Back Button Focusing

You've all intrigued me to try BBF with my Canon, but I'm not sure I quite understand. I looked in my manual under the Shutter/AE lock options and it gives me four choices:

0: AF/AE lock (this is what is "normal" right?)

1: AE lock/AF This one separates focus and meter. So this is the option I should choose for the BBF?

2: AF/AFlock, no AE lock-- clueless to what this means!

3: AE/AF, no AE lock not sure what this mean either....

So I guess my question is, I want to choose option 1, right?

There is a great article at the Canon Learning Center that explains BBF in detail and gives the proper setting for every Canon camera. I just googled BBF Canon. Check it out.

Here is the piece of info everyone needs for understanding Back Button focus

Quote:
What this means is that anything before the slash mark refers to how the shutter button will behave. Anything after the slash tells you how the rear button will work if that option is selected.
That being said I use Option 2. My back button locks focus. My shutter button is used for shutter release and my metering isn't locked by either button.
