Talking Re-occuring dream...

I have been having a re-occuring dream ever since I started taking up photography as a hobby.

I'm in a foreign country, usually England, Australia, France or Mexico (but mostly England) and I'm sightseeing but I've forgotten my camera

At least once a week I have this dream. Does this horrifying topic ever haunt anyone elses dreams?

Over the years I've had dozens of dreams that while very different in the details are all on the same theme: I'm trying to get somewhere in Europe (or back home) and for whatever reason I don't have my passport. I tend to remember each one better than most of my dreams which float out of my reach as soon as I open my eyes. Perhaps you've planted a seed and I'll start having dreams about not having my camera!

Michele, I have not had the camera dream, but, I dream over and over again that I've lost my purse or left it somewhere by mistake and in the dreams I have a frustrating time trying to get to my purse.

The other dream I have is related to being in college (yeah, way back then!) and I can't find the location for the final exam.

My most frequent recurring dream involves knowing I'm at the end of the semester in high school---usually a more difficult class like AP French or Calculus---and I'm late for school, and I know it's the end of the semester. I have to go sit in the class but I have never attended a single class, never done the homework, I don't even have the textbook. I don't have a schedule, and I don't know where the classroom is. And I either get called on, or the teacher says something like, "You'll turn in all your homework for the semester and that's your only grade." I have no idea what it means, but I have had it in all different settings, high school and college. I've never had a workplace dream. And high school was 20 years ago!?! Why can't I let it go???

For me, that wouldn't be a dream---forgetting my camera---it would be a reality. I missed my DD's first trip to an ocean last summer b/c I left the camera battery on the charger at my parents' house.

Michele if you were in Australia I would loan you my camera! As long as you came and visited down this part of the world!!

I have been dreaming scrapping lately, it's quite strange.

I'm 47 years old and I STILL have the "I'm in class and I realize it's finals day. . . and I've missed class all semester" dream. ugh. Maybe I should try out your dream for awhile. I do need a change of stress dreams I think. lol

ok I'm going to admit being the weird kid..I never had that dream about exams/missing classes etc. My recurring dream is I'm a spy and that's all I know..but I do know that I wake up laughing and I think I've got to write that down. Inevitably I never do. But man it COULD be a motion picture..if I could ever remember it!

I should have said, even if I had that dream, how come in your dream, Michele, you can't just grab all the imaginary money you want (since it's a dream!) and buy a replacement, top-of-the-line camera with all the bells and whistles? That's what I would do!

When I was running a lot of races, I constantly dreamt of not being able to get to the start line... crowds, transportation issues, lost etc. Very draining for the night before a race... I was exhausted by the time I toed the line. BTW... did take a disposable camera on the Marine Corp Marathon and took fantastic shots... only to find I sweat through the camera and ruined the film... so those shots are only a figment of my imagination now.

What a great idea and what a bummer though! Some of my best shots are the ones I never took as well.

cstaff, those dreams always haunted me too! and i always have a point and shoot in my sportsbra, so far no damage...just square boobs cuz my cell phone is always in the other side with my keys lol.

and for photo dreams, i always dream i'm on the wrong setting and can't get it fixed before the scene is gone. like when we were doing the back lit challenge, I dreamt I was in a grass field and I was lying down trying to take a shot of the grass backlit by the moon when a huge stallion walked up to me and I couldn't get the settings right to get his mane illuminated by the moon and his sillouette....so frustrating!

lol

Sarah - I have a variation of your high school dream. Usually unprepared for a final. Oh, and the one where my teeth get loose and I wake up before they fall out.

What do you think that means?
