There are lots of good ones out there now.. there are several sites that evaluate them like Steve's Digicam so that might be helpful.. Kodak has a good selection and their lenses are awesome for a p&s.. I also have an Olympus waterproof one which is great for the beach and waterparks.. good luck in your search

Or how about buying a "purse" that will carry your DSLR with style? Like an Epiphanie.

No, just kidding, but those bags are really gorgeous!

I have the Canon Elph - not sure the exact module but I love it and i have two small children and it captures them nicely.. I hold the button (shutter??) half way down and click when I want an action shot and there is an option for taking lots of pictures at a time - sorry I am not good with the tech. words!

Good luck!

I carry a Nikon Coolpix in my purse. Not fond of the propriatory battery, but those are easily replaced. In some ways, I like it even better than my much larger Canon SX20. The Nikon is small, but not so small I can't handle it easily.
