Default How have you sold Camera Equipment?

I have a camera and a lens to sell. Not sure I want to try to sell it locally, but I could put it up on Craig's List. How else have you sold camera stuff, and have you been happy with the results? What I am selling is professional grade equipment if that makes a difference. Thanks for any advice!

I sold one lens through Craigslist and had my husband meet him at a starbucks. I also sold a lens on Amazon... there is a small fee at amazon Both were gone within three days and I got the money I wanted from each.

I haven't sold any but I have bought a lens from someone's blog. She listed it and I just happened to be the first response. (It was also someone who I'd known online and had met irl as well once.) Everything was quick and easy.

Well if you have a 50mm f1.4 lens and mine comes back as being broken beyond repair...you might have an easy sale here!

Is it a Canon? I'd really like to have that lens. It's on my "want" list.

It is a Canon...

Kelly - Did you get a Tamron? I am actually selling my Canon 24-70 and getting the Tamron 28-75. I used to have the Tamron but sold it to get the Canon... LOL!

Well... I do feel it is a little heavy for me. I'm not the best at holding my camera steady. The Canon does great for me with the studio lighting but I'm not always getting the shots I want during everyday outings (of course this could be due to a number of different issues - not necessarily the weight of the lens). I have a 5D but use my 20D... so my plan is to sell the 5D and the Canon lens which would give me the money to buy a new body (looking at either the 50D or 7D), the Tamron 28-75 F/2.8 and then possibly a nice fixed macro lens. I would also love the 70-200 (eventually), but would probably go with one of the less expensive versions, again because of the weight!
