Amazon.com: Built Cargo Large Camera Bag (Black Raspberry)
Hi. I have a new camera bag that I am really loving. To make a long story short, I have been shopping for some time now. The new Epiphanie and Jill-e bags are so beautiful, but I had a problem with the handles, I didn't want the shorter ones to always be in the way, ( I carry my bag over my head and shoulder so it falls at my hip) and the squared bulk at my hip. I also worried that they would be a bit heavy. Then I just happened across this in an Amazon search. It's the large Camera bag by Built NY. Its half the price of the others, its very clean and functional, it has the longest strap in the world and it just fits my hip. Everything I wanted in a bag. It has adjustable dividers inside and holds a ton. I happen to also love the color.

That looks like a nice one Pam!
I got a new Epiphanie bag [I bought the the ginger] and absolutely love it--using it with the shoulder strap and it's perfect for me! Has so many pockets I'm using it as a purse/camera bag next month when we head to NYC!

LOL--it's a smooth leather and the inside is very soft with lots of dividers and it's deeper than my other camera bags and I really like that--I really do love it!

Katie, I love the ginger too although I love the color of the Bella! All in all, I am happy with my purchase. Katrina, to answer your question, The strap is adjustable to fit any length. I like that the shorter handles don't bend down but stay upright. The bag kinda molds to your hip.

This is a cool looking bag, but I haven't been able to find a pic of it looking inside when it's filled. I need my bag to open very wide so I can see everything. I HATE having to kind of force one of my camera bags apart because the zipper doesn't start low enough on the bag. My Belle Epiphanie arrives Monday and I'm really hoping I'm going to love it!

Love this discussion and I would love a new bag! I am such a bag lady, however, my son gave me the bag that Canon made and it really has room for everything. It isnt very glamorous, but when I go anywhere with my husband, he gladly packs it around, because it doesnt look "girlie" But I am definitely going to keep this thread in mind for a new bag, if I ever travel without him! I would sure love it if Vera Bradley were to make a camera bag! Does anyone know where I might be able to get some of the padding for inside that might fit in a Vera bag?

This looks like a great bag. With your DSLR how many lenses can you fit in it?

If you click on the epiphany bag it gives you a little slideshow and one of the pics shows the bag packed, it looks quite roomy.
Is it really heavy Katie? I got the large JillE and it weighs a ton with my camera, it feels like an overnight bag, really too heavy to carry around when we go out. I need to find something different for everyday stuff...

Built NY Cargo Camera Bag Large > Camera Cases > Travel Accessories - eBags
This bag weighs 2lbs 6 oz. the inserts are adjustable, I have 2 lens and a camera/lens in the center and then filters, my charger, meter, auto shutter release etc on the sides. The zipper begins and ends pretty far down the sides of the bag, leaving a good wide entry to the contents. There are also 2 inside pockets but they don't have zippers.

I totally agree with Katrina. I don't plan to carry all my stuff with me when I travel either. I keep all my stuff in one place at home and then fill my carry bag as needed. Unless its a long trip, I don't see me needing all my gear in my bag.

I have the crumpler like Katie's (except it's the 6 mil) and I love the compartments and ease of use. I do find, even with the padded shoulder strap, that it gets heavy after a couple hours. It's my purse too for wallet and small cosmetic bag... dslr with 2 extra lenses... a regular pack-rat... so it's a bit bulky...

Girls you are SO REALLY NAUGHTY to have turned me on to these great-looking bags!!! I bought the Epiphanie Belle because it seems to be the right size and shape for me, and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. I can hardly wait to get my hands on it. Actually, I thought the price quite reasonable considering that Dooney and Bourke want nearly twice as much for one of their leather handbags, and people don't even flinch at paying that for them. And these are made right here in the good ol' USA, so it doesn't take 8 weeks to get here either. I just wonder where all of YOU found out about them. I googled camera bags, and they didn't show up.

My new Epiphanie "Lola" bag just arrived yesterday... ooooooooh, it's YUMMY! So cool and chic and --wow!-- it's a camera bag and not a stylish purse! It's all packed for my European adventure (Friday... yowza!) and I'll look good carrying my gear (camera, two lens) AND some extras (make-up, money
, passports, umbrella, gloves, scarf). Although, I've only carried it around the house (lookin' in the mirror to see how stylish I'm lookin'! )... I love it! Thanks for the final push, Katie!
