A couple of times I've noticed something on my hunt for a POTD and taken a photo only to go back the next day and find it had totally changed. One (last month) was a weird colored spider but was quite normal-looking two days later and tending an egg sac! I was unable to find that documented anywhere on the web. The other was bright green freshly peeled bark that I noticed a couple of days ago. It was fading within hours and is totally boring now!
What a great project this is!!

Isn't it lovely how POTD makes us more aware of our corner of the world? For me, it was crabapples, changing from bud, to blossom, to fruit, and then to wizened winter food for the birds and deer.

That is such a wonderful way to look at things, Esther. Thank you for reminding us!
