Default pics of eiffel tower..what lens

What lens would you use if you wanted some amazing pics of the Eiffel tower?

Absent owning the 24-70mm I'm currently coveting, I would use my 17-40mm L lens. Great glass and the wide angle to get the entire tower in my photo

well go for the usual whole tower shots because its lovely. but dont forget the 'parts of it' shots. some of my favourites of the tower are the steps/legs. the edging rails etc etc. I'd say the best zoom you have, so you can do the whole and the parts
