if your camera has it, do you use it?

I'm thinking this might make it easier to organize photos, so it could be quite useful. Unfortunately, there's not an option to create a new folder each month, I'd have to remember to do that myself.
When I get around to dowloading the pics I already have off my memory cards, I want to organize them into folders by year with subfolders by month. This could put me a step ahead of the game.

Oh, there IS!! yay!! From the manual (still haven't found it, but someone found one for me online) it didn't make it sound like that was how it worked but when I went into the camera to see about setting it up, I could set it for monthy.
If I had only done this ages ago!

I download my pics as fast as possible. Never let them go even one day, so I don't think I'm going to pursue the folder function in my camera. I download them quickly for several reasons: one, I'm dying to see how they look on the bigger screen and two they are safer there than in the camera and three they are automatically backed up from my hard drive by Carbonite.

I have yet to download my pics off my sd cards and have dh burn them to cd.
That's one of my goals this year.
