Default I'm lost on Flickr

I'm lost with what to do in Flickr to add photos to the DD group. So far all I have on Flickr is some LO pages that run in a slide show on my blog. How do I add photos to my Flickr and not have them included in that slide show. I'm Flickr challenged, lol!

I'm not familiar with the slide shows from Flickr, Karen. Wish that I could help out . . . I"m sure that someone with wider knowledge of Flickr will be by soon with an answer.

Karen, I'm not sure what you mean by a slide show, but if you're on the flickr site, here's a link to the group page
http://www.flickr.com/groups/30dd/pool/

You have to join the group (you'll see where it asks you to do that), then go back to your photo and click on the add to group link right above the photo. You'll see the dd group link!

Hope that is clear...

You can run a slideshow on blogspot of a particular set in flickr. You need to group any photos you want to display together into a set. (Let me know if you need to know how to make a set). From your blogspot dashboard add a slideshow gadget. You need to set the source as OTHER and set the url to your flickr set feed - so don't click flickr. To find the flickr url, click on your desired set in your flickr account and scroll down until you see the "Feed" RSS link (it's smallish and at the bottom), click and on the link and copy the URL. Paste the URL into the URL Field for the slideshow gadget. Add "&format=rss_200" to the end of the URL. For example,

http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds...format=rss_200

is the URL for my 2010 POTD flickr set. This should show at least the newest 20 photos of that set. Hope that helps.

If you just choose flickr and your flickr account information it will show everything you upload (or it should anyway - that's what mine did until my hubby taught me this - he's awesome).

I never have been able to figure Flickr out. For example, what the heck is a photostream and why do they call it that? I've always found it a little off-putting. Pfft. I am just so twentieth-century....

Where do I add my profile picture? See I told you I was lost. (I posted my first photo!)

Never mind, lol. I figured it out.
