Visual Poetry by Chris Orwig
Just finished reading this book - EXCELLENT - not much in the way of technical photographical advice - more it is a book about how you look at your world and capturing that on film (do we use that word with digitial cameras???).
The best part of the book (for me) are the assignments at the end of each chapter. My fav so far is to take a set of 20 photographs within 15 miles of where you live as though you were photographing a place you had traveled to. LOVE IT - it has changed my whole view of how I see this place I call home! I HIGHLY recommend this book to jumpstart creativity.

David duChemin who is friend's with Chris also has a great book out along these lines...called Within the Frame. It is such a true book about what we try to do with the camera. I'll check out Chris' book, too. I took his Lynda class on Lightroom and learned a lot.
