Default Btw...

My hat goes off to all of you who photograph kids. I spent Christmas eve with a 4 year old and 8 year old boy...no chance at a good photo. First off they didn't want to get their pictures taken(as they were gazing and admiring my sisters lit up Christmas village, which to me is the perfect photo op). Second, they would not set still. Just when I thought I had them one would be looking away (possibly rolling his eyes) or pulling a silly face. I wish just one would have turned out because we actually had a lot of fun. But not one is usable. How bad could it have been you ask? I turned the flash on...gasp! I know.

However I can view it as a knew photo challenge for myself.

sounds suspiciously familiar. only way i know it wasn't my boys is that mine are 5 and 7. i have tried several photo shoots with them, and they have all been unequivocal disasters. fun, but disasters in terms of getting decent shots.

HAHA!!! I like that description Heather! It ALL makes sense now!

Michele, I have 5 year old twins and I still haven't successfully figured out how to get them in the same photo at the same time, looking the same way, with a reasonable look on their faces, and in focus, all at the same time.

BTW, when I point my camera at my dog (a border collie) he gives me a look that says 'yeah right!', and then just gets up and walks away! He never fails, and I never fail to be astounded, while at the same time cracking up laughing! Needless to say I have NO photos of my 2 girls with the dog

I'm glad I'm not the only one who encounters reluctant subjects who don't cooperate when I'm trying to take advantage of wonderful holiday photo opportunities!

I am going to take millions of photos of the new grandson this year because he doesn't know yet he's being photographed!

Omgosh...you guys make me laugh.

I had a dog once who got the most pathetic look on his face when I tried to take his picture...like I was taking his soul. Not Holden though. He'll do anything for a treat.

I thought it was just me and my bad photography skills. Why can't they stay still like the trees by the lake, or my dh watching tv? I'm just finishing a layout with 3 of the younger ones visiting Santa. I had to take the head off one photo and place on another. I'm always having to do this. Thank goodness for Photoshop and Anna's clipping masks where I can hide their moving limbs.
