Default Do you save your raw files?

I have been saving my RAW files on an external hard drive, but they are huge, it takes extra time to organize and save them, and I have never looked at them in two years.
I "develop" them and save as high-quality jpegs. My jpegs are backed up in more than one place, and I never write over the originals so I can preserve the quality.

So I ask, what on earth do I need the RAW files for?
Do you save yours? What for?

I would say that throwing out your RAW files is like pitching your negatives because you have the prints. And I could never sleep again if I did that.

I save all my raw files (as .dng)! They are saved on two separate external drives and on mozyhome (Mozy - Safe, Secure, Affordable Online Backup) which is online backup. I'm not taking any chances with these babies! That said, I don't export them as jpg before I need them... That's how I save space.
