Default Developing 35mm Film

Okay, cleaning out my office today I discovered 8 rolls of 35mm film and one roll of 126! The 126 has to be from at least 1986, how it has followed me all of these years I DO NOT KNOW!

Does anyone use a reliable place to have them developed? I'd just want them on CD, not certain I care about having prints or negatives. I have no idea what is on any of it! okay, maybe negatives now that I've seen that in type.

Thanks! I promise to share whatever develops

How cool!!! That is like finding lost treasure =) I haven't developed film in over five years... and back then I took it to Wolff Camera.

My BIL does strictly film work for his nature photography business... I'll ask him!

Oh! Shutterfly still takes 35mm film!

A similar thing happened to me a few years ago - Found film that was at least 30 years old - I had it developed and it turned out to be pictures of my son when he was a little kid. Even though the pictures had a very yellow cast to them, it was a real treasure finding them. Now that I have PS, I have been able to kind of fix them. It was so exciting getting the pictures after all those years.

Should be quite a surprise finding out what's on there! (Sorry, no help on where to take it though.)

Both Shutterfly and Kodak Gallery still develop film and will print, put it on CD or up on your account

Walgreens will develop them and put them on a CD. Very inexpensive and they've done a good job for me. It will be interesting, though, to see how they turn out as your film has probably run well past the expiration dates. I still go back to my film cameras now and then, as I've always loved them...my babies!

Thanks for all of your suggestions! I just had the brilliant idea to check with one of the printers I use most often and well, guess what! My mailer from them is in the mail so I can send all my film to them. I'm going to give Mpix.com a try, I often use their printing services

I'm still looking for somewhere to develop the 126 though

Katrina, The flickr site has lots of "film" groups. I bet one of those could give you suggestions on your 126 film developing!
