Default getting the most out of RAW?

I have been shooting in RAW for a couple months and find my self fiddling with the settings in ACR (I have PSE 6) but I don't really know what I am doing. Can anyone recommend a book or tutorial for how to get the most out of photo post-processing RAW formats and workflow. I have read a couple of reviews on Amazon, but would much rather hear what all you have to say. Thanks.

I do all of my post processing in LR. I love it and it is so easy to do batch processing with my own presets. Scott Kelby has great books out about LR.

I am not familiar with ACR but I bet somebody will come along =)

I use Lightroom to process my RAW files, and the first thing I do is select the correct camera calibration profile. (I'm pretty sure that you can do that too in ACR?) Then I adjust the tone (sometimes hitting auto tone and going from there), adjust the blacks, and maybe a slight tweak of the other items.
The LR 3.0 Beta is out and available to all users to try out i you want to fiddle around with it.

Scott Kelby's books are great. I use CS3 and his book for that program was very helpful. He has some books for PSE as well.

I second the Scott Kelby books-both for PSE and LR. Lightroom is wonderful for editing your raw files.

I'd also spend A LOT of time perusing Matt K's Lightroom Killer Tips blog. Great stuff there! For FREE! woohoo!
