Default Who is taking Katrina's Kid Photography Class?

I just signed up. Had a problem with my old username not working in the store (took the last class) but it's paid for, and I am excited!

You ladies are too kind Debbie Hodge does great work at her website making it so easy for me to teach! If you watch in the banner ads at the top of the forum and gallery page here you'll see the classes being offered at Get It Scrapped. Click the ad and you'll get to her site as well!

Best part of the October class? You'll see a few guest appearances by some other moms who you might recognize from around here!

Carie I just saw your post! Not sure how that slipped by!

This is all new stuff with a focus on working with your kiddos for the shot coupled with a technical element. There will be a few fundamental things that I go over like aperture/iso/shutter speed but in a different way and with different examples. Written all new for this class!

So glad you are all interested! It's nice to have familiar faces in class!

I am SO there. The first class was a blast - we had such a great time, and I know this one will be fun too!

Would this be a good class to take for someone who wants to learn portrait photography but doesn't have kids to experiment on? Or will there be another one more geared towards adult portraiture?

I'm signed up! With kids 4 1/2 years, 2 1/2 years and 6 months, I need to start getting good pics of the kids - and ideally through taking fewer shots that need less rework later.......

I think I'm gonna sign up. Just saw this! I took her last class, but was gone most of the time-so I wasn't able to participate. AND I'm going to be gone the next couple of weeks, BUT I'm getting a Canon 50D this week and so I want to have some material to help me learn it and the lenses. Sooooooo i'll be another absentee and hope I can learn from the lessons alone!

This may not be the perfect fit for what you are looking for. I'm including a lot of technique for dealing with kiddos and all of the fun they bring to photography. Portraiture will on be a small portion.

I'm putting your request on my list

I'm signed up too! I took the last class and missed a couple of lessons toward the end of class ... and like Jaime I printed off the PDFs and am working through it on my own.

For this class I already know that I am going to be out of town for at least three of the lessons . . . so I'm hoping that I can catch up and pop in and out in this one too. It wll be great fun to see so many DD "friends" there!

I just signed up, but I am having trouble finding the link for the Current Classes in the Forum. I registered in the Forum like the instructions indicated. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? This is my first time doing a class like this and I am unfamiliar with the Debbie Hodge site/online format. I am looking forward to learning and sharing through this class.

Hi Katrina-
I received the link to the PDF (2-pages) giving the step-by-step instructions for getting the first lesson. When I login in to the forum site I can't see the current classes, in addition it doesn't let me post anything. Not sure what is going on, but hopefully I will be able to get the info that I need. Let me know if I didn't do something correctly and that is why I can't seem to get to the class info. Thanks for your help!

I've signed up too, but like Denise, I don't have any of my grandchildren right around me -yet-at the end of this month I will have a new grand-daughter right around the corner so I hope I'll be able to experiment on her. Well, the truth is, I want to get better at photography and Katrina is such a great teacher-with tons of patience :-)
